Welcome, Karibuni

Superb natural attractions offer visitors to East Africa some very special and memorable experiences. The region contains a rich diversity of terrain and wildlife, from the lush rainforests which clad the volcanic mountains in western Uganda, home of the magnificent mountain gorillas, to the sparkling double chain of lakes in central Kenya which, enriched by minerals, throng with millions of flamingoes. The historic towns of Zanzibar, Mombasa, Lamu and Malindi, all conjure images of the past when traders from the east developed and settled along the entire coastal strip.

We have designed our packages to cater to a variety of preferences, ranging from adventure filled trekking safaris to relaxing beach holidays. We can also tailor-make packages in East Africa, as well as a host of other regions, to suit individual requirements.

Whether you want to travel with a large group, or on an exclusive tailor-made safari with family or friends, Global Interlink will ensure that your tour is an unforgettable adventure and the holiday of a lifetime.

The Great Rift Valley of East Africa

East Africa comprises of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Kenya and Tanzania enjoy a long stretch of the Indian Ocean coastline, while Uganda remains landlocked. There is a fairly good network of water bodies in the region, Lake Victoria being the largest and shared by all three countries.

The Great Rift Valley runs from the Sinai Peninsula for 6,500 km to the Mozambique Channel, and cuts through the very heart of East Africa. The Rift Valley is the greatest rupture on the earth's land surface. It is the only geological feature that can be seen clearly from the moon and its complex system of faults and escarpments has been evolving for some 40 million years. The geological movements which created the Great Rift has resulted in a rich diversity of terrain and the largest concentration of wildlife found anywhere on earth.
