What is the Card Verification Code? . The Card Verification Code (CVC / CVV / CID) is an important safety feature designed to protect your credit card accounts. It helps us validate that the cardholder has the actual card in their possession when making an online purchase or using our printable order form. This Verification Code is found in different places depending on what type of credit card you have. Visa and Mastercard For Visa and Mastercard, the 3 digit code is displayed on the back of the card, on the signature strip. These are the last 3 digits printed on the back of your card. American Express For the American Express card, it is the 4-digit code displayed above your account number on the front of the card.
